Manufacture of over 500m of heavy duty crash rail/balustrade.

Being a 1,200 tonne reaction frame this unit needed to be manufactured with the utmost focus on its structural integrity.

The steelwork that this job required was mainly erected over what could only be described as a very corrosive environment.

The scope of the job included: Manufacture of production jigs and assembly and welding 140 units of each component.

The unusual design of this building meant that the accuracy of the structural steel frame had to be within very tight tolerances.

Bowhill successfully completed the full submersion passivation of 1,000+ super duplex S/S components for this important project.

This project was a design and construct structural/mechanical scope with a tight timeline.
