Jack Gaston has been a great member of the Boweng team. He found a true passion for steel work and thought Boweng was the perfect fit for his interests. He completed a week of work experience with us when he was in Year 11 at Nurioopta High School. During that week he was pleasantly surprised at the size of our projects and how much everyone collaborated to get the job done. His apprenticeship commenced in November 2022 where we have seen Jack grow into a promising future tradesperson.
As Nurioopta is a fair distance from Bowhill, Jack has taken full advantage of our accommodation assistance support to live at Bowhill as he completes his apprenticeship.
Jack is a real country lad with a love for hunting, fishing and 4WDing and fits in with our culture extremely well. Being part of the Sydney Gateway project is his favourite job so far, it’s amazing to see how much work goes into a project that size.
