Charlie came to Boweng from Lameroo for work experience in Year 10 and returned again in Year 11, showing a strong interest in hands-on learning and practical work. During year 11, he completed a Certificate II in Engineering in Murray Bridge, building a solid foundation of industry knowledge.
Across his work experience, Charlie gained exposure to workshop operations, fabrication processes, and the importance of quality and safety. His confidence and capability grew between visits, with a noticeable increase in independence and understanding of the work we do at Boweng.
Charlie’s experience highlights the value of early industry exposure and how work experience can help shape future career pathways, while supporting the development of the next generation of skilled workers.
