Case Study – From Intern to Project Administration, Patrick

Patrick joined Bowhill Engineering as an intern as part of his university studies, bringing with him a diverse background including CAD modelling, farm work and even some CNC machining.

What started as an internship quickly developed into an ongoing opportunity, with Patrick continuing to work with Bowhill around his university commitments. He is now part of our Project Administration team, supporting our Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project.

Patrick completed his Diploma of Engineering – Technical in 2025 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Strategy with a specialisation in International Business as well as a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical), which he expects to complete at the end of 2026 and 2029 respectively.

His combination of technical knowledge, hands-on experience and developing business skills brings a valuable perspective to the project team.

Patrick’s journey is a great example of how industry experience and further education can work hand-in-hand. We’re proud to support his development and have him as part of the Bowhill team as he continues to learn, grow and contribute to one of our most significant projects to date.
