Malachi came to us from Unity College in Murray Bridge for work experience in 2022. After work experience, he was encouraged to apply for an apprenticeship with Boweng which he commenced in early 2023.
He had completed a Cert II in Metal Fabrication in school where he got to contribute to building a go-kart.
We were impressed by Malachi’s commitment and willingness to drive from Birdwood to Boweng every day, luckily he has since been able to move to Murray Bridge making the travel much easier. He also has great work ethic working with his dad on their family farm on the weekends. In the small amount of spare time Malachi gets, you can find him boxing, fishing, camping and four-wheel driving.
Malachi’s favourite project he’s contributed to so far were our bridge girders for Sydney Gateway which was a massive job for Boweng. We are proud of the growth we’ve seen in Malachi this year and can’t wait to see him grow throughout the rest of his apprenticeship.
