When Charlie joined Bowhill Engineering in mid-2025, she was already a third year apprentice — but it didn’t take long for her to feel right at home. Having previously specialised in aluminium welding, Charlie was eager to expand her skills, and experience the challenges and rewards of working with heavy structural steel.
Since joining the Boweng apprentice team, Charlie has thrived! Her enthusiasm for learning, strong work ethic and willingness to tackle new challenges have quickly made her a valued member of the crew. She’s embraced every opportunity to learn from experienced tradespeople, develop new techniques, and take on complex fabrication work.
Beyond her growing technical skills, Charlie is passionate about representing women in trades and breaking down barriers for others who want to follow a similar path. Her positive attitude and commitment to growth make her a role model among her peers and an asset to Bowhill’s inclusive, team-driven culture.
At Bowhill Engineering, we’re proud to support apprentices like Charlie — individuals who bring drive, curiosity and passion to everything they do, and who embody the spirit of Excellence, Courage, and Community that defines our team.
