Bowhill Engineering is looking to fill a key role within our team, being our Material Handler. We are looking for someone happy by nature, fit for work, productive, reliable, flexible and that will take great pride in assisting our fabrication, production, surface treatment even our admin team daily. This role whilst primarily material handling/forklift operation, load/unload trucks, also includes logistic assist, stock control, grounds & store organisation & capturing maintenance requirements, your sense of pride in this role and what you contribute to Bowhill Engineering is highly valued.

Being the “go to person”, you’ll take pride in being busy and organised and keep work flow & productivity between our production teams running smoothly and efficiently.

You have the following key areas of responsibility:

  • Logistics incl Material Handling
  • Grounds, Stores
  • Goods Inwards, Stock Control
  • People & Culture
  • Compliance

Specialising in heavy structural steel projects, Bowhill Engineering are involved in major infrastructure projects therefore safety and compliance are a big part of this role and there is a great sense of achievement in being involved in these key projects. The job role includes forklift operation up to 33T, side loader, overhead crane, moving large heavy objects.

Licensing required

  • High-Risk Forklift license with forklift driving experience
  • Full unrestricted drivers’ license

Desirable certification (can be trained if required)

  • EWP- Scissor Lift Yellow Card
  • WSAH Work Safely at Heights
