Taitama was held in high regard within his Birdwood High School’s Certificate II Engineering program and applied for a Metal Fabrication Apprenticeship with Bowhill Engineering as he neared the completion of Year 11.
Encouraged to complete work experience to ensure Heavy Fabrication was the engineering stream that he was interested in, Taitama completed the work experience in his September school holidays and by late November 2024 started his Metal Fabrication Apprenticeship with Boweng.
Taitama expressed an enjoyment of dexterous work and a love for fabricating and welding and a want to continue to develop his skills in creating strong, precise welds, and handling complex fabrication tasks to achieve high standards or workmanship. We loved that he showed a keen passion for career in metal fabrication and welding an look forward to building his skills to achieve his dream!
