Apprenticeships can come in many shapes and forms and for Ian, his Trade Certification came in 2006 when Bowhill Engineering supported Ian in seeking recognition for his metal fabrication experience as a Mature Age Apprentice.  Having worked for many years for Horwood Bagshaws in Mannum.  There is a great story behind this great bloke!  Ian originally started with Boweng in 2001, he is one of our longest serving team members to date, with over 20 years of combined service. It was a proud moment for both Ian & Boweng when he got his trade certification and he has continued to grow even after his apprenticeship, becoming a Certified NACE Coating Inspector – Level I in 2013 & completing a Cert IV in Competitive Systems and Practices in 2014.  Ian now provides great value to our team as a Senior Metal Fabricator and in our PQMR inspecting our paint coatings to meet project requirements.

Boweng’s is proud to continue their support for Ian as he moves to retirement in 2025 with a flexible work arrangement.
