The installation of gantry 5 as part of the Department for Infrastructure and Transport’s South Eastern Freeway Upgrade Project at the Heysen Tunnels has caused much excitement for the Bowhill Engineering team on their travels to Adelaide. Being the first Intelligent Transport System (ITS) gantry once through the Heysen Tunnel, heading to Adelaide from our Murraylands region, our team loves to see the finished product they’ve worked hard to complete.
This ITS gantry is one of six built by Bowhill Engineering for this project and is a small but significant contribution to a project that touches people’s everyday lives. I’m sure all of our Bowhill Engineering families will be thrilled to hear on every car trip to Adelaide “Boweng built that!”
