Bowhill Engineering are seeking an experienced Mechanic / Mechanical Fitter to join their Production Maintenance team. Specialising in heavy and complex structural steel projects, Bowhill Engineering have a busy team of 50+ people. Our Bowhill workshops rely on our maintenance team to ensure the Boweng team are kept on task to meet our project timelines with minimal disruption or breakdown.

Working to our Service Schedule, your focus is on preventative maintenance keeping plant & equipment running efficiently. Your technical and adaptive problem-solving skills will be your greatest asset in attending to any breakdown maintenance. Ideas for innovation & continuous improvement of plant & equipment and our maintenance servicing system, utilising your experience, are highly valued. Additionally, accountability & ownership are a large part of this role, ensuring plant & equipment maintenance safety compliance.

Flexibility in this role – may involve “all hands on” at integral project times. You’ll enjoy the satisfaction and knowledge as a team player that you are supporting the big picture of our Boweng project & team requirements and the unity of an enjoyable work lifestyle.

Working with the Operations Manager, WHSE Coordinator and with our Maintenance Team Trade Assist will ensure that established systems flow smoothly & maintenance is collaborative and effective. Mentoring and upskilling staff in maintenance requirements will increase optimal effectiveness of plant & equipment operation and maintenance.
