Declan Fritchley came to us from Eastern Fleurieu School in Strathalbyn, completing Year 11 work experience in 2019. Playing Footy with Mypolonga, he loved spending time building various things and restoring cars.

Declan Frithcley

His engineering skills at that stage included Tech studies class where he designed and built a motorbike maintenance table and a welding/workbench trolley.

In 2018 he did his VET Course in Cert I Doorways to Construction, also completed his white card and completed some work experience in carpentry and cabinetmaking whilst working out what he wanted to do on finishing school.  What impressed us the most about Declan was his work ethic working at Eldridge Organics on weekends and during school holidays and how he applied himself and showed genuine interest in the metal fabrication trade during his work experience.

Declan’s Apprenticeship commenced in 2020 and he is currently a 4th Year Apprentice due for sign off January 2024.  Declan’s most recent achievement is being involved in siteworks in Sydney.

Declan holds an Apprentice Rep role at Bowhill Engineering, being a support person & advocate to our 3rd & 4th Year Apprentices, something he is pretty proud of and we are too.
