Mannum Community College student, Kaiden Dohnt was unsure of the direction he wanted to take on completion of his Year 12 in 2024. Having studied a range of academic studies and with a love of sport including playing with the Sturt Football Club, Kaiden a quiet achiever, had received recognition for his schooling commitments with the Australian Defence Force Long Tan Youth Leadership Award and Team Work Award.
Kaiden had set himself up by completing work experience with Bowhill Engineering whilst studying his Cert II Engineering in 2023 in which he enjoyed producing a Go Kart with the other engineering students.
The completion of work experience and the enjoyment of his VET Certificate II Engineering Pathways course was the deciding factor for his application for a Metal Fabrication Apprenticeship with Bowhill Engineering, after a great interview, our team was keen to have Kaiden on board and we can see a bright future for Kaiden in his metal fabrication career.
