Bowhill Engineering offer a positive learning environment with established routines, systems, processes and procedures to ensure training is structured and supportive. Through our long term, continued Apprenticeship/Traineeship program, we have seen a wonderful support network develop. Our environment focuses on being non-competitive and supportive, providing mentoring that flows from each stage of our apprentice/trainee group.
We provide a forum where Apprentices/Trainees can speak courageously in a group or individual setting with a support person who will back them or speak for them on any challenges they have. Our amazing group of current tradespeople and professionals have embraced the Apprenticeship/Traineeship program and are unified in building our next talent, seeing the success that our program brings in meeting project requirements, workforce growth and sustaining a work/life balance we can all enjoy!
The Apprenticeship/Traineeships programs include
- Paid Employment and Training for the duration of the Apprenticeship/Traineeship
- Training Contract as per Training and Skills Commission of South Australia/Traineeship & Apprenticeship Pathways (TAP) Schedule
- Training Plan delivered via a Registered Training Organisation
- Award Rates Applicable as per relevant award (reviewed each Stage/Level of Apprenticeship/Traineeship)
- Flexible School Based Apprenticeship/Traineeships considered along with Full Time Apprenticeship/Traineeships
Minimum Requirements
- Year 10 completion (Year 11 preferential).
- Work Experience completion (recommended)
- Reliable transport

Engineering Tradesperson (Fabrication)
On the job training + one day per week at TAFE SA Murray Bridge
- Traineeship Surface Treatment Facility Team 4 years (Positions open as required)
Certificate III Surface Preparation and Coating
Surface preparation & Coating Tradesperson
On the Job Training + Block Training one week per month with TAFE South West
- Traineeship Business Administration (Trainee Receptionist) 18 months(Positions open as required)
Certificate III Business
Clerical Officer (Office Administration)
4 days on the job training + 1 day online training (in house)

Well, to summarise, we are a bit of a “BCF” kind of crowd really, we are country people that love to get outdoors and be active, spend time with our families, participate in local sporting groups and generally have a good time. A great, fun way to get to know the team! Whether it is tea at a local pub, go karting, horse racing, celebrating special events, these events are always fun and are held quarterly. Membership is great value at only $5 per fortnight and we love all of our team to be members.

Aside from social club activities, we hold a number of in-house events, including Celebration Hour once a month, where we stop early and celebrate all the good stuff happening with drinks and nibbles as a team!
